4/5 Stars
Currently, we use it for amplicon (16S/ITS) data processing and analyses. In the future, hopefully, more and more whole genome and metagenome analyses.
Yes, for ease of use. Some features are less flexible/used adjustable than desired, but those can be supplemented with other software.
QIAGEN Bioinformatics Customer Review
5/5 Stars
I’m trying to get away from having other people do the data analysis for my projects, so I appreciate the one-stop shopping afforded by CLC. I have targeted sequencing data from two species of mosquito and like how CLC can fetch outside information – a lot of programs are very human genome-centric in how they handle data.
Sure. CLC is easy to use and has plenty of tools to explore and analyze data. I appreciate that the CNV analysis that was formerly part of the Biomedical Genomics program will be rolled into CLC version 12 as a plug in.

QIAGEN Bioinformatics Customer Testimonial
The IPA is a very good software for functional genomics especially for the researchers without bioinformatic programming skills. Functional genomics is always complicate. Integration of the gene expression, genomic variations and possible epigenetics will be very helpful for a research lab to interpret their NGS datasets.

PowerSoil Pro Customer Review
4/5 Stars
The smaller beads allowed for more of the total volume to be taken from the tube, as well as seeming to lyse the cells better and increase the DNA yield.
Yes, because the protocol is easy to use/understand right out of the box and the time used in sample preparation is minimal.
