We mainly use Alphacam for making furniture and occasionally for Joinery parts.It allows us to cut sheet material faster and more accurately than before. Complex components can be made in a fraction of the time in comparison to old manufacturing methods. Grooving, drilling, chamfering and cutting can be performed by one machine saving many man hours.
Yes, it has made the initial stages of workshop manufacturing much faster and efficient, saving time and therefore money.

I use ALPHACAM to do all of the drawing/engineering for the shop and customer paperwork. I also use it to program both my cnc and 5 aixs bridge saw.
I would recommend ALPHACAM because it eliminates the need to have Autocad. I use ALPHACAM like an Autocad to do my drawings. In my business, we are only drawing 2D countertops. I can draw in 3D but it is rare. Instead of having Autocad & ALPHACAM you can do both jobs with one software.

We input a solid model generated from Autocad and/or SolidWorks. Using the 3Dextract, we create planes surfaces, and geometries to apply 3X or 5X tool paths. Very useful when creating a mating edge on a multi-curved surface

We have a Weinig Conturex, we batch-file from Excel through an ALPHACAM post. We do around 20% of the work Klaes can’t manage.
We also have a Homag CNC with post using Polyboard Kitchen manufacturing software.
To anyone who has “Non-Standard” applications I would thoroughly recommend ALPHACAM software.
