The County of Ventura uses SolarWinds Orion & Kiwi for our network management. Both systems have a lot of good features and pretty open architecture, but have some hidden features, i.e., poller specifics, that make our job of tailoring it to our specific needs easier. I am an RF engineer working with our MW Backhaul, and Orion is network equipment centric. It handles our switches, routers, CPU, memory, drives, and web apps well, but the SNMP information we need for RF parameters is developed in-house with Universal Device Pollers and Kiwi scripts.
