The filing system is extremely valuable and saves time and resources when drafting motions, such as summary judgment motions, where update research is not something the client necessarily wants to pay for. I find Courtlink very useful for pulling dockets, and even research of similar litigation in other jurisdictions. The public records feature is very helpful for trial prep.
