We were able to move the entire organization off of annual budgeting and to a forecasting model (savings of tens of thousands of labor hours annually).
Forecasts by product are completed quarterly using data from a Qlik app showing product history and Market Share.
Capacity is matched to forecasted demand by a Qlik app, which provides team leaders with their Labor ratio (Worked Hours over Unit of Service) and Expense ratios (Expenses over Unit of Service) to targets.
Qlik is great for healthcare because it is one of the few tools that allows organizations to start with high-level dashboards and drill to detailed transactions in a single application / experience.
