As we are a government department, the main benefit has been reducing ad hoc requests for data to be used in decision making on where best to place more services.
Absolutely. The speed with which data can be imported and almost instantly displayed was the first feature that impressed me. The use of scripting to not only capture data using APIs and REST connectors is now really nicely complimented by the burgeoning GIS capabilities. Having GIS and BI in one tool has been our holy grail. Examining the relationship between people and place has become much easier.
