Qlik Customer Review

5/5 Stars

How our organization uses Qlik:

I use QlikView as a data forensics tool. I use it to import and transform data and very quickly create a large number of different reports or data views. This is impossible to achieve using standard reporting (or even BI) tools.

In data forensics, I am responsible for finding different kinds of irregularities such as fraud or process inefficiencies. In order to achieve my goals, I need to ask hundreds and sometimes thousands of “questions” of my data in a very short period of time, knowing that only some of my interrogations will actually yield a result. So in order to be successful, I need a tool that can quickly analyze huge volumes of data. We’re talking hundreds of gigabytes in size and millions of records. I also need a platform that can be adapted and reprogrammed very quickly to test different algorithms; one that helps me quickly and easily mash-up, filter, transform and recalculate my data in different ways. QlikView checks all those boxes.

Would you recommend Qlik?

The load scripting and scripting itself has proven to be great. There are tools on the market that will create visually better charts or graphs, but in my experience, none of them is as flexible, function-rich or as fast as QlikView.
