We have a much lower TCO with the Thunder ADC. We replaced our F5 environment for about what it previously cost us in maintenance on those devices.

We have F5, Riverbed/Brocade/Zeus, and the A10s. We prefer the A10s.
A10 has a much more familiar command-line interface (CLI) than F5, a clearer syntax, and a better config hierarchy.
Being familiar with Cisco-like commands and structure make these easy to deploy rapidly.

The A10 Thunder ADC units have allowed us to do things that were not possible before. I highly recommend the product.
Use of the Aflex rules allows us to redirect requests and without having to use the webservers, which reduces overhead.
Also, because of the Thunder ADC’s load balance capabilities, we can move traffic between servers to help with maintenance windows, too. That lowers OpEx.
