Primarily NTA is used to monitor spikes in traffic and apply policies to endpoints using our IPS based on the flows. As a secondary function, we use it to monitor traffic patterns at our industry trade show, where bandwidth is limited and very expensive.
SolarWinds support articles make configuring the flow policies simple on your firewall, and the NTA service provides deep visibility.
