We’re using it to support data preparation for machine learning models related to radio network planning and to visualize geographical forecasts. It has enabled new insights that support multiple analytics initiatives ranging up to 50 MSEK in enhanced capex allocation and improved quality of our network.
Yes, Qlik GeoAnalytics makes it easy to access complex geographical analyses which used to require complex knowledge about tools like QGIS. For example, being able to perform binning, closest and cluster operations by comparing polygon and point data allows new insights.
Additionally, all of our antenna sites that are close to each other affect each other. But the question is: which ones are they and how close are they to another site? This is key in order to enrich our machine learning models with additional attributes and enhance the predictive performance of our models.
