It was purchased as a replacement for our HP XP24000’s. The performance of the VSP’s is exceptional. Our data warehouses are extremely IO intensive and the VSP has performed well above the requirement.

Would you recommend Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform?

Absolutely. We recently had a data center power outage (unplanned) and the VSP protected all the LUNs and every one of our Databases were in tact and we suffered zero data loss.
Our only complaint is not with the product, but the cost of the software that is required (TsM, Replication, etc.. )
