I think this program gave me the tools I needed in order to access the situation before reacting when deescalating a student. CPI helps you to think through situation in order to stay calm and follow through with certain techniques. CPI helps the student as well as the adult to have safe success in the time of conflict. I have been using CPI since about 1998. I have been involved with this program in Tennessee and Virginia. It is a great program and it has helped successfully work with my students.
