When we migrated our storage from our previous Enterprise-level monolithic solution, the database guys called us, demanding to know what we had done to their servers. We were immediately concerned that something had gone wrong with the migration, some interruption or service impact or outage, but they just laughed and said, “no, it just suddenly all got faster!”

That alone was worth the price. Saving money, self-management, better support, faster migrations, reliable replication, snapshot recovery, higher resiliency, is all just a cherry on top.

How our organization uses HPE Nimble Storage Adaptive Flash Arrays:

Since 2014, we have used two CS220GX4 in an asynchronous mirror, these two systems were replaced in 2020 by two HF20 arrays in a synchronous mirror. Now, the older CS220 arrays are used as a backup repository for Veeam. The Veeam backup jobs use snapshot integration. We have hourly snapshots made and love this solution.

I would definitely recommend Nimble Storage. We have been using ours for the last 6 years with no issues. Infosight recommended that we increase our SSD storage at one point. This is a nice selling point as other vendors are behind in this type of insight into the usage of their storage.
